Introducing… The Offbeat

It was the shared desire to explore Roots, Indie, Folk and Pop music that drew four talented musicians together in 2010. They have since embarked on a creative journey producing ‘brilliantly crafted originals’ with a recognisable fresh sound.

Lichfield Arts have long been involved with this talented young fourpiece, watching them develop and grow as musicians. These close friends draw influence from artists such as Charlie Simpson and Lisa Hannigan, and demonstrate intelligent, heart-warming musicianship beyond their years. The unique group they have formed is becoming increasingly popular at festivals and events around the country, whilst their forthcoming album (due for a late summer release) is already set to be a gem.

Since taking the Fuse 2011 Acoustic Stage by storm, the band have gone from strength to strength performing further afield at The Yardbird, Birmingham Ballroom, Kings’ Heath Bull’s Head, and Scratch FM, as well as releasing a free single ‘(If It’s No) Then Just Say No’ (complete with hand-made origami animation!) and supporting The Musgraves and Gilmore Roberts amongst others. They are nearing a year’s musical development with the M.A.S. Records programme, look forward to a full summer gig line-up and were proud finalists in the PRS National Composition competition – a reminder of the delicate musical interplay this unmissable act creates.

The band would like to thank the continued support and inspiration of the Lichfield Arts team for helping them come this far, and look forward to what the future holds – if you’ve not caught them yet, visit for latest news. Expect tight cajón rhythms and skilled acoustic guitar, a pair of masterly fiddles and four ‘simply breathtaking’ voices: combined in a way that will stop you in your tracks.
