Queens Head Re-opens Saturday 5th October
The Queens Head which is one of Lichfield’s most popular community pubs re-opens after a £50,000 refurbishment this Saturday the 5th October.
Licensee Leanne Giblin is inviting all regular customers old and new to come along and enjoy the day’s festivities which start at noon with an official opening by Lichfield Arts President and Queens Head regular Brian Pretty.
Throughout the day you will able to enjoy a buffet which will include some of the range of fine food available at the Queens.
Live music for the day will include musicians Nick Dewhurst and Dave Ferris with some fine tunes with a jazzy edge, and more local musicians to be announced. To finish off the day local singer Jo Evans will perform all your favourite songs.
The pub which is owned by Marstons has chosen Lichfield Arts as its nominated local charity and will organise a number of events throughout the year to raise much needed funds to support the community work this registered charity does in Lichfield.
Lichfield Arts President Brian Pretty said:
‘He was honoured and delighted to be asked to do the opening ceremony and was grateful for the recognition of Lichfield Arts and all the work they do in the local community’
Licensee Leanne Giblin said
‘It was a easy decision. Having worked as a volunteer at Fuse for a couple of years I realised just how much work and effort goes into making such an event a success’.
She added ‘We will be still running our regular Quiz’s, Cheese and Wine nights and live music nights’
