We are pleased to announce the appointment of Bryn Williams as the new Lichfield arts concert programmer.
Bryn takes over from Chris Newcombe to give him more time with his young family. The trustees are grateful to Chris for all his hard work and the programming of the fantastic season ahead. Chris remains involved with Lichfield arts as time allows. Bryn starts work immediately booking the programme that continues later in 2018.
Bryn has a strong commercial, community and events background. More recently he has been self-employed for nearly ten years in the live music and events industry. His freelance work sees him running concerts around the UK. He’s the contracted booker and programmer for a number of venues as well as promoting a folk & roots season and other concerts outside of the Lichfield area.
If he looks familiar to Lichfield arts fans, particularly those who have supported L2F – Lichfield Festival of Folk, it will be due to his alter ego! Bryn is one of the frontmen of Folklaw, a rising folk & roots band with whom he sings, plays guitar and contributes to the song writing. Folklaw have delighted crowds at L2F and is where his original passion for Lichfield arts began. It’s also why no photograph could be found of him without a guitar!
Bryn said – “I am delighted to be moving from the stage at Lichfield to the programming of it. It’s a fantastic organisation and I’m looking forward to playing my part in its continued success. I’m thankful to Chris for his support during this handover period and will be developing the program in the same vain; as well as drawing on my experience from outside of the county for shows which might appeal to people in the area and Lichfield arts members and friends.”« Back to previous page
