Cajun Dance Night with Elvis Fontenot

Venue: Guildhall

Saturday 18 November 2017: 8.00pm

Cajun music is back at the Guildhall after a long absence! The sound of accordion and fiddle and the songs still sung in the French of the immigrants that settled in Louisiana will fill the room with foot-stomping music you will want to dance to.

Formed in the dim and distant past of the early 90s, Elvis Fontenot have gone from humble beginnings to playing their high energy brand of Cajun, Zydeco and swamp’n’roll all over the UK, Texas and Louisiana, France, Holland and Ireland.

Currently consisting of Nick Barber (Accordion, mandolin, frottoir, vocals) Paul Asher (Accordion, mandolin, fiddle, vocals) Stu Duthie (Bass Vocals) Chris Plimbley (drums) and Hollie Vee Lucas (Guitar, vocals) expect a mix of self-penned, traditional songs and eclectic covers done in the trademark Elvis Fontenot manner!
