12.00pm – Tom Morgan Duo

California bass man Tom Hill brings a boppin’ banquet of jazz and blues to Lichfield, with the awesome angular pianistic stylings of Al Gurr and the growlin’ gravy grooves of Carl Heminglsey on drums. Expect some jazz and funk standards with a sprinkling of bluesey vocals.

2.30pm – Richard Heath & Stewart Johnson

Stewart Johnson and Richard Heath have been playing together for 25 years. Between them they have played many festivals in the UK, across Europe and in the USA.

1.15pm Vintage Rhythm

Vintage Rhythms Collective is a group made up of local enthusiasts. Its members come from a variety of musical backgrounds – rock, blues, folk – but are united in their love of the instrumental jazz of the last hundred years. Expect interpretations of evergreen songs from the Great American Songbook, jazz classics made famous by Herbie Hancock, Duke Ellington and Miles Davis, blues tunes and even some more recent popular songs given a jazz twist.

VRC comprises Richard Sewell (alto saxophone, flute), Peter Bacon (tenor saxophone, percussion), Malcolm Smart (guitar), Pete Johnson (keyboard), Bill Maynard (bass, guitar) and Roger Reading (bass, percussion) plus occasional guest drummer.

Most of the members of the band met thanks to Nick Dewhurst and the Lichfield Arts community big band, Blast Off, and they have played regular monthly sessions at McKenzie’s Restaurant and the Worth Brothers’ Speakeasy nights.

Fuse festival Go Fund Me CampaignHelp us to deliver Fuse and bring our community back together!

Fuse is free, put on every year by our team of volunteers at Lichfield Arts. Due to Covid-19 our normal fundraising has been severely curtailed right when we need it most to bring our community back together and keep our visitors, performers and volunteers safe. So, we need your help to fill the gap and ensure that Fuse can happen – especially as connecting with our community and loved ones in a safe, enjoyable and engaging way is so important right now.
