L2F Arts Competition 2022

Your chance to enter the 2022 L2F Lichfield Festival of Folk Art Competition! The subject this year for submitted art work is: Freedom and we will be open for entries from Monday 16th May until Monday 8th August 2022.

How to enter

All entries must be original, 2 dimensional, in any medium but excluding photography with the theme being “Freedom”.

The maximum size for entries is A1 (23.4 x 33.1 inches/594 x 841 mm)

Entries must be received by the closing date of Monday 1st August 2022 either via the submission form below, by emailing a photograph of your artwork to: lynda.english@lichfieldarts.org.uk or via sending a printed photograph (8×10 maximum size) posted to:

Lynda English, Lichfield Arts, Donegal House, Lichfield WS13 6LU.

All entries must contain the artist’s name, address, phone number and email address, details of medium used and approximate size. A shortlist will be drawn up from the photographs submitted and finalists will be notified by 19th August 2022. Applications close on 8th August 2022.

Entries must be received by the closing date either via email lynda.english@lichfieldarts.org.uk or via a photograph of the piece (8×10 maximum size) posted to Lynda English, Lichfield Arts, Donegal House, Lichfield, WS13 6LU and the envelope clearly marked Art Competition.

All entries must contain the artist’s name, address, phone number and email address, as well as staing detilas of the medium used and the approximate size.

No correspondance will be entered into.

A shortlist will be drawn up from the photographs submitted and finalists will be notified by 19th August 2022.

All shortlisted entries will be exhibited in an exhibition from 8th to 16th October 2022 inclusive, at the Samuel Johnson Museum, Breadmarket Street, Lichfield.

By submitting an entry to the L2F Art Competion 2022 you are offering consent to be contacted by Lichfield Arts/Lichfield Festival of Folk (L2F) for the purposes of the competition.

This competition is run by Lichfield Arts, who run the Lichfield Festival of Folk (L2F). Lichfield Arts reserves the right to amend, cancel, postpone or replace this competition and/or its prizes.


All shortlisted entries will be exhibited in an exhibition from Saturday 8th to Sunday 16th October 2022 inclusive, at the Samuel Johnson Museum, Breadmarket Street, Lichfield.
