Lichfield Arts is looking for a volunteer Treasurer to join our enthusiastic team of trustees to oversee the financial affairs of the organisation. This interesting, varied role involves ensuring the finances are lawful and within accepted accounting practices and the organisations constitution. It is also an opportunity to be involved in shaping the future of Lichfield Arts.

This is a voluntary role that involves: ensuring proper financial records are kept and that effective financial procedures are in place; managing and reporting on the financial health of the organisation; overseeing the production of necessary financial reports/returns, accounts and audits; overseeing the production of an annual budget; and monitoring actual income and expenditure against budget. Support will be provided by Lichfield Arts’ Accounts Assistant and Office Manager, with the role focusing more on higher level financial control.  The time commitment varies throughout the year but averages approximately 3 hours a week.

This voluntary position would suit a competent, honest, reliable person who would like to be part of a friendly, enthusiastic team that delivers so much to the local community. An interest in music and the arts would be welcomed but is not essential.
