Volunteering with Lichfield Arts

Lichfield Arts is fortunate to have a dedicated community of volunteers, many of whom have been actively engaged with the organization for numerous years. Through their steadfast commitment, our volunteers play a pivotal role in fostering stronger communities, supporting the local economy, and empowering others to realize their full potential. Yet, the benefits of volunteering extend beyond the collective impact.

Joining Lichfield Arts as a volunteer offers an ideal avenue to forge new connections, acquire fresh skills, collaborate with like-minded individuals, and experience a sense of value and respect while undertaking enjoyable, diverse, and stimulating roles. Become an integral part of our vibrant and diverse team at Lichfield Arts, contributing to the enhancement of our events and playing a key role in our continued success and future sustainability. Your involvement is not just an investment in our community; it’s an opportunity for personal growth and fulfillment.

So what is motivating our volunteers to give their time and skills? Volunteering enables and encourages people to play an active role in their society and contribute to positive social change. Volunteering helps to break down social barriers, encourages cohesion and offers people an opportunity to socialise with people from different social and cultural backgrounds. Being involved enables our volunteers to keep physically and mentally active and offers a great way to improve their social life.

We extend a warm welcome to volunteers interested in a diverse range of roles at Lichfield Arts. Your support is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our concerts, encompassing responsibilities such as stewarding, glass collecting, selling raffle tickets, bar service, and front-of-house assistance. For our festivals and community events, we rely on volunteers to contribute to the safety and enjoyment of attendees, including stewarding and assisting with the setup and dismantling of equipment.

For those with a penchant for organization and coordination, our festival committees eagerly welcome volunteers to aid in areas such as marketing, fundraising, collaboration with local authorities, health and safety protocols, venue exploration, artist liaison, and more. Your involvement goes beyond specific tasks; it plays a crucial role in creating memorable experiences for our community and ensuring the success of our diverse events. Join us in making a meaningful impact across various facets of our vibrant organisation.

We also have a team of Trustees, each of whom is also a volunteer. The Trustee team is collectively responsible for the safe, lawful, ethical and successful running of the organisation. Each Trustee has an area of responsibility/specialism, whether it be health and safety, human resources, finance, outreach, the bar and its associated legalities and licensing, strategic development and many more roles in line with Lichfield Arts’ constitution and governance documents.

Irrespective of the role undertaken or the amount of time volunteered, Lichfield Arts places great emphasis on recognizing and appreciating the efforts, dedication, and, indeed, the significance of each individual and their contributions. Every volunteer’s work is valued and acknowledged as a vital component in the collective success of our endeavors.
