Nick Drake is one of the most revered and loved of all this country’s singer/songwriters. He recorded three cherished albums between 1969 and 1972 but was almost entirely unknown in his day. Cherished by the likes of Fairport Convention and John Martyn, but largely ignored by the mainstream musical press, after his tragic death in 1974, aged only 26, his music almost disappeared into obscurity.

2019 marked the band’s 26th year anniversary. During their time together they have had the honour of Led Zeppelin’s front-man Robert Plant attending three of their gigs and John Bonham’s son Jason even jammed with them on stage. These are events the band are very proud of. It must surely also be the best recommendation any band could receive, and also assure any Led Zeppelin fans apprehensive about seeing The Fredz.
