About Lichfield Arts

Lichfield Arts aims to be recognised as the leading community arts organisation in the UK.

Lichfield Arts is a non profit making registered CIO Charity and as such, Lichfield Arts requires a board of trustees who have overall control of the charity and are responsible for making sure it’s doing what it was set up to do. Click here to meet the trustees…

Lichfield Arts is an independent charitable organisation (CIO registered charity number: 1156217) that has promoted music concerts, festivals and other events in Lichfield since 1974. The organisation plays a key role in Lichfield district’s thriving arts and creative community and has around 300 members including 125 registered volunteers.

Lichfield Arts is nationally recognised for the promotion of artistic excellence from both our existing heritage and also new and innovative work. The organisation has a distinctive cultural offer which is presented in an informal and accessible way for the whole local community and visitors to the district to enjoy.

Currently Lichfield Arts promotes around 50 concerts each year covering the genres of folk, roots, blues, rock, roots and acoustic music. It also organises festivals each year, including our flagship Fuse festival in July, a Summer Beer Festival, a Winter Beer festival, the Blues & Jazz Festival and the Lichfield Festival of Folk (L2F).

Lichfield Arts supports the development of local musicians, performers and artists, including via our community outreach projects. Art and dance projects are organised throughout the year in conjunction with the music festivals or as separate enterprises. We work with the local communities from Burntwood, Cannock, Rugeley, Lichfield and Tamworth.

Every July Lichfield Arts puts on Fuse – a free community festival held in Beacon Park, Lichfield. Fuse offers a wide range of music and other activities including dance, comedy, theatre and workshops.
